A New Jersey-based Tea Party group filed a lawsuit challenging a state commission on the redrawing of New Jersey’s 40 legislative districts, according to NJ.com. The Bayshore Tea Party filed the suit along with 38 Plaintiffs claiming the New Jersey Apportionment Commission – an 11-member commission composed of five Democrats, five Republicans and one independent tiebreaker – created a “gerrymandered map” clearly favoring Democrats that “will lock in one-party control of the New Jersey Legislature for the next decade.”
