Palin's 'Restoring America' Event Relocated
Sarah Palin’s September 3 “Restoring America” event in Iowa has been relocated from Waukee to Indianola in order to accommodate larger crowds, reports the Des Moines Register
Palin will serve as the keynote speaker at the Tea Party of America’s event. The free event is open to the public and was originally scheduled to take place at Hawkeye Antique Acres in Waukee. The event was relocated due to fears that the large crowd could potentially jam interstate traffic.
The event will now take place at the National Balloon Classic field east of Indianola from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Speculation abounds that Palin, a former governor of Alaska, will use the event to announce if she plans to run for president in 2012.
“I don’t know if she’s going to announce or not,” Charlie Gruschow, co-founder of Tea Party of America, said. “I have no idea. But whether or not she announces, we’re going to have a huge event.”
