Paul: Texas Gov. Perry ‘Very Much the Status Quo’
Ron Paul told a Fox News audience Thursday that if voters are looking for change they should expand their search beyond former democrat Rick Perry, reports the
LA Times.
The archetypical libertarian told Fox’s Neil Cavuto that Gov. Perry “doesn’t identify with the people who are disenchanted with the status quo.”
He went on to criticize Perry’s ties with the Bush administration saying he is “very much the status quo.”
“He’s going to dilute the vote,” Paul said. “But he’ll dilute the establishment vote. But the people who are sick and tired of what they’re getting in Washington, I don’t think he’s going to be that attractive to that group of people.”
