CA Tea Party Gets Unlikely Partner in Free Speech Case
The North State Tea Party Alliance of California has filed a first amendment lawsuit against the city Redding, according to the Silicon Valley Mercury News. At issue is a local policy that requires – among other things – a reservation for leafleting at the local library and restricts the activity to about 10 percent of the main entrance.

It turns out the regional chapter of the ACLU has filed a parallel suit.

"We kind of laugh and talk about how we don't see eye-to-eye on every issue. But the issues that we do see eye-to-eye on make us absolute, 100 percent partners," said David Pappas, the attorney representing the North State Tea Party Alliance.
