Cain Announces Support of Collective Bargaining
Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain argued that collective bargaining rights for public employees should be allowed, “but not collective hijacking,” reports the Washington Post
“What I mean by that, if they have gotten so much for so many years and it’s going to bankrupt the state, I don’t think that’s good. It appears that in some instances, they really don’t care,” Cain said Monday in an interview with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Cain went on to address an Ohio law that, if implemented, would have prevented collective bargaining for the majority of public employees.
“Maybe they tried to get too much and as a result it failed,” he said.
