Gingrich Gaining Ground With Tea Party
Newt Gingrich is gaining support from tea party activists in Florida and becoming increasingly popular among the grassroots movement, reports
Sunshine State News.
“There is an uptick in the tea party movement in regard to Newt,” Billie Tucker, head of the First Coast Tea Party, said. “He has shown himself to be the most well-informed on how politics works. And he has an ‘attitude’ — which we tend to like. Attitude means saying it like it is and not holding back.”
Tucker went on to say that Romney is “too vanilla for the tea party crowd.”
“He has not reached out to us, and we have reached out to give him an opportunity to meet with our tea party. Nothing from his camp — crickets,” said Tucker.
