DeMint: U.S. Must Learn from Greece
In a new report out today, Senior Republican senator on the Joint Economic Committee, Jim DeMint, compares the U.S. debt crisis to that of Greece.
“Will American lawmakers take Greece’s lessons to heart and change course now? Or will they wait and continue spending until it is too late, kicking the can all the way down the road, and then kick it off a cliff?” DeMint asks in his report.
The seventeen page report titled “Lessons America Must Learn from Greece to Avoid our own Debt Crisis,” is emblazoned with a picture of the crumbling Parthenon on the cover.
