Former Gov. Sununu Endorses Romney
Former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu announced his endorsement of presidential candidate Mitt Romney, reports the Los Angeles Times
Sununu, former White House chief of staff under President George H. W. Bush, said that he’ll “help in any way that they want,” but that Romney has already positioned himself to win the state.
“I think they’ve got a good team in New Hampshire,” Sununu said. “He’s doing a good job of taking care of the details, which is the key to New Hampshire.”
“You get surprised in New Hampshire if you take it for granted, and they’re not taking it for granted,” Sununu said.
Sununu sited Romney’s foreign policy speech at the Citadel as the deciding moment for his endorsement.
Sununu served as governor of New Hampshire for three terms and chaired the New Hampshire Republican Party during the 2010 elections.
