Herman Cain: 'Black Walnut' Is a Flavor With Substance
Herman Cain has responded to Sarah Palin’s claim that he is a “flavor of the week” following his win in Florida, saying that “black walnut” has substance, reports Politico
“That is great news that says that the flavor of the week might have some substance,” Cain said Tuesday morning. “Black walnut isn’t a flavor of the week.”
“I can eat black walnut all the time — it’s not a flavor of the week! It’s not that heavy. You can eat it on the cone or in a cup,” Cain quipped as he compared himself to the Haagen-Dazs ice cream flavor.
Cain went on to say that he will continue to rise in the polls regardless of whether Chris Christie enters the race for the White House.
“So he’ll get a lot of attention, suck up a lot of oxygen for a while,” Cain said of Christie. “And at the same time, you’ll see black walnut moving up the charts.”
