Sarah Palin announced Wednesday that she will not run for president after months of deliberation, reports
The Hill.
“I’m thankful that, not being a candidate, really you’re unshackled and you’re allowed to be even more active,” Palin said on Mark Levin’s radio show of her decision not to run. “I look forward to helping coordinate the strategies that will assist in replacing our president and retaking the Senate, maintain the House, helping good constitutional conservatives be elected to the governor’s seats around this nation.”
Although many Palin fans are disappointed that the former Alaska governor won’t be running, GOP candidates have come out in support of her decision and hope for her endorsement.
“I respect her decision and know she will continue to be a strong voice for conservative values and needed change in Washington,” Texas Gov. Rick Perry said in a statement.
