Paul Launches Mulitmillion Ad Campaign
Ron Paul, the only GOP candidate to take to the airwaves in four early primary voting states, is going after Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, and Rick Perry in a week-long, multimillion dollar ad blitz, reports USA Today
The two new campaign ads will run in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina. Currently, Paul lags behind Romney, Cain, and Perry in national polls, averaging at about 8.5 percent in recent polls complied by Real Clear Politics.
Both ads tout Paul’s economic policy. The first 60-second ad constrasts his economic record against Perry and Romney’s support for stimulus packages and bailouts. The second 30-second slot pushes Paul’s plan to cut $1 trillion from the federal budget.
Jesse Benton, Paul's campaign chairman, said the reception to Paul's economic plan "means we're obligated to meet an even higher standard of outreach and discussion."
