Romney Praises Death of Libyan Leader
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney praised the death of Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi at a town hall meeting in Souix City, Iowa Friday morning, reports the
Los Angeles Times.
“It’s about time,” Romney told reporters. “The world is a better place with Kadafi gone.”
Romney made his remarks to a low-key crowd of 100 at Morningside College — a sharp contrast to his multimillion blitz during the previous presidential election. The former Massachusetts governor told the crowd that he would love to win Iowa and that this trip is the first of many planned trips to the Hawkeye State.
