Rove: Tea Party, Wall Street Protests Completely Dissimilar
Republican strategist Karl Rove is the latest politician to come out denouncing the Occupy Wall Street protesters, arguing that they have nothing in common with the tea party, reports
The Hill.
Rove said that the tea party was founded by people with “mainstream perspectives,” unlike those of the Wall Street protestors.
“What are these people for? To the degree that they’re for anything it’s left-wing nuttiness,” Rove said. “One is a Constitution-loving, law-abiding people and this is a group of left-wing nuts whose goal it is to violate the law.”
Presidential candidate Mitt Romney came out against the protests during a town hall event in New Hampshire Monday.
“Don’t attack a whole class of Americans, whether they’re rich or poor, white or black. This isn’t the time for divisiveness,” he said.
