Tea Party freshman Rep. Allen West now has heavy hitter former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld fundraising for him, reports The Hill.

Rumseld will hold a fundraiser in Washington, D.C. next week, where guests will pay $500-per-plate for breakfast. Political action committees will be charged $1,000 to attend the event.

The lobbying firm Van Scoyoc Associates will host the breakfast held at the firm’s headquarters.

Rumsfeld and West both share a military past.

Last quarter, West raised close to $2 million in fundraising dollars.
