Social Security Likely to Be Topic of Tonight's GOP Debate
Round two of the CNN/Tea Party Republican Debate will take place tonight at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, with Social Security likely to play a major role in the discussion, reports
CNN.
Republican front-runner Rick Perry has previously said that Social Security is a “Ponzi scheme” and a “monstrous lie” told to young people. Perry’s comments raised the ire of contender Mitt Romney, who shot back saying “under no circumstances would I ever say by any measure it’s a failure. It is working for millions of Americans, and I’ll keep it working for millions of Americans.”
The pair has continued to lambaste each other over the issue, which should make for a fiery debate tonight moderated by CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer.
